Lisa in a story?
Posted by: admin on Friday, December 19, 2003 - 03:03 AM
News MELISSA RUGGIERI
MUSIC CRITIC Dec 18, 2003

Veteran music journalist Scott Benarde has written the incredibly interesting "Stars of David: Rock'n' Roll's Jewish Stories," which details the Jewish heritage of some of the more obvious (David Lee Roth, Max Weinberg, Randy Newman) and the surprising (Billy Joel, usually considered an Italian Catholic, Lisa Loeb and Melissa Manchester). It's a fun read with fascinating insight (i.e., Roth first learned to sing while preparing for his bar mitzvah). Published by Brandeis University Press, the book retails for $29.99 (but is cheaper on www.amazon.com) . . .

Lisa contributes to another kids album
Posted by: admin on Wednesday, December 17, 2003 - 07:43 PM
News Lisa Loeb is said to have contributed to the upcomming album World of Happiness which is similar in nature to the 1972 LP Free to Be ... You and Me. Not sure exactually what part Lisa has in the album yet but I will keep an ear out. It is likely Lisa will sing in it since she has a few children songs she sings aka her album Catch the Moon. The album is said to be coming out in Feb and by Disney.

Read on for an artical on the subject ---->
